Wine Tasting: The Art of Blending

Wine blending—a craft steeped in history and mastered over millennia—is both an art and science. From the ancient Romans' merging of regional flavors to Bordeaux's iconic blends and Champagne's consistent brand profiles, blending weaves together diverse grape varieties, vintages, and barrel-aging techniques. Whether to create heightened complexity, correct nature’s mistakes or abide by legal regulations, we’ll discover how winemakers use blending to create wines greater than the sum of their parts. In addition, we’ll hear from Josh Cellars, one of California’s greatest success stories, who will hand out a special gift. Presented by Deutsch Family, Special Presentation by Josh Cellars.
