“With the library in construction, I no longer have a place to nap! Where can I go to catch some Zs?”
As an empath and chronic napper, I feel for you, I really do. I hope that these suggestions can provide you some relief from your sleepless torment.
First, the little blue cubicles in Drapkin Lounge (the glass room in JG with the indoor trees). The frosted plastic panels provide privacy AND the chairs are as horizontal as you can get in this school. I like to pretend I’m on an international flight in those Business Class cubicles, flying far from here.
Second, get yourself a BW study room. I do not condone lying down on the floor as that is gross. But lean up against the wall, curl up on the window ledge, or take to the table and get snoozing behind a closed door.
Third, the new student kitchen/lounge inside Lenfest. Right now, it is a hidden treasure, unknown and untapped by law students. Snag a seat in the corner of the room and away from prying eyes. Also, the proximity to Raj provides a sense of safety that will lull you to sleep, dreaming of free coffee.
Lastly, right there on the table. Any table. I love to put my head down on the upstairs JG tables by the big windows, set a 10-minute timer, and put on some snoozy jams. The anxiety of a professor or that cutie from Bar Review seeing you will ensure you don’t hit REM sleep and will help you zone right back into work when that timer goes off.
Be respectful, don’t snore, clean up your drool, and please don’t put your raw toes on anything that someone else could touch.
I wish you the best of luck and some sweet sweet Zs.
