Judicial Lecture on Latinx Civil Rights with Judge Jenny Rivera

Join Judge Jenny Rivera, '93 of the New York Court of Appeals for a lecture about Latinos in the Law. Prior to her 2013 appointment to the Court, Judge Rivera was a distinguished Professor of Law at CUNY School of Law and founded its Center on Latino and Latina Rights and Equality. Judge Rivera has spent her entire career in public service. She will discuss a sampling of civil rights cases involving Latinx individuals and communities in the United States, highlighting the role of Latinx citizens, activists and lawyers in advancing Latinx and immigrant rights.
