Interested in climate defense, energy regulation, environmental justice, and how lawyers protect people and the environment? Concerned about what the second Trump administration might mean for environmental issues, vulnerable communities, and a world impacted by climate change? Join CLS faculty experts and legal practitioners working on pressing environmental issues to hear their perspectives on challenges and strategies for advocacy in the coming years. Panelists include:
  • Professor Michael Gerrard, Andrew Sabin Professor of Professional Practice
  • Susan Kraham ’92, Managing Attorney, Earthjustice
  • Professor Camille Pannu, Associate Clinical Professor of Law
This panel is part of the PI/PS Office’s four-part lunchtime series, Advocacy Under Trump II. Throughout February and March, we will be joined by faculty, experts, and practitioners to discuss issue areas likely to be deeply impacted by the second Trump administration, including racial justice, the environment, and bodily autonomy. Our final panel invites practitioners who formerly worked within the federal government to discuss the role of an institutional advocate and how administration changes affect career government attorneys, including how government lawyers approach being an advocate in an administration they may not personally agree with and how they can use their role to affect legal outcomes.
