1L Professional Pathways Checklist

Your 1L Professional Pathways checklist is full of resources and important steps you will need to take to prepare for your summer job search! Advisors from the career teams are available to meet with you - make appointments through Symplicity.  If you have not yet logged into Symplicity, you will need to request a password reset by emailing careerservices@law.columbia.edu

Student Services

Academic Advising (for JDs): Student Services will hold in-person drop-in advising on Nov. 6 (today), 8, and 9, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. - WJW, 4th fl. Student Services Office.

ICYMI: The 1L Legal Methods II and Elective Panel presentation and recording. The link also includes video presentations from those professors who were not able to attend the Nov. 1 presentation.

Registration Services

1L Spring Pre-Registration: closes on Mon. Nov. 13 at 12:00 noon. Please review our Resources and Procedures page: 1L Spring 2024 Pre-Registration Handbook, How to Register on LawNet, How to Use the Curriculum Guide, and the Legal Methods II and 1L Elective Offerings website.
