Dean's Cup - Thurs. Apr. 20, Doors open at 7:30 p.m./tipoff at 8:30 p.m. at Levien Gym, Dodge Fitness Center. We are so excited that we are once again able to host Deans' Cup this year. Deans’ Cup is a basketball game played annually between NYU and CLS. The event is a great way to show school pride and we encourage you to cheer on the CLS students who make up our team. Questions? Academic Advising - Planning for Your Next Year: If you are planning on applying for an externship or clinic, or want to talk to someone about planning for your next academic year, please sign up for an appointment to chat with an advisor in Student Services here. If none of these times work for you, please email Student Services, or stop by the 4th floor of Big Warren! As a reminder, the application to apply for Fall 2023 clinics, externships, and policy labs is now open in LawNet and will close on Mon. Credit/Fail (CR/F) rule: 2Ls and 3Ls may elect to have a letter grade changed to Credit/Fail (CR/F) in one non-mandatory class per semester (for a maximum of 10 credits overall). Please submit the digital Grade Adjustment Form on LawNet by Weds. Apr. 26 at 11:59 p.m. Please refer to the email we sent out for further information on this rule.

Judicial Clerkships

CLWA/OJC Judicial Clerkships Mixer - Thurs. Apr. 20, 6:00-8:30 p.m. in Case Lounge. Columbia Law Women's Association (CLWA) is excited to present its Inaugural Judicial Clerkships Alumni-Student Reception, co-hosted with OJC. Alumni who completed state and federal judicial clerkships are invited back to campus to meet with students, share their clerkship experiences, and answer questions about clerking. Applying to be a Moot Court Editor 2023-2024 and Information Session - Thurs. Apr. 20, 12:10 p.m. in WJW 311. You are invited to apply for the position of Moot Court Student Editor for the 2023-2024 academic year. Moot Court Student Editors can serve (a) for the full year (fall & spring); (b) for the fall only as teaching fellows in the LPW or LL.M. program; or (c) for the spring semester only as teaching fellows in the LPW program. Experiential credit and/or writing credit are available. Applications will be open until Tues. June 6. Food will be served at the info session. Click here to register.
ICYMI - The 2023 Edition of The Geneva Challenge: This project funded by Swiss Ambassador Jenö Staehelin aims to encourage interdisciplinary problem-solving analysis among master students on advancing human development within the scope of a relevant topic. This year, students are invited to develop analysis-based proposals on "The Challenges of Loneliness." The Geneva Challenge 2023 will distribute 25’000 CHF. Registration to participate closes this Sun. Apr. 23 and submissions are due Fri. July 14. Click here for more information and to apply.

Back-up Child Care - Full-time enrolled Law School students can receive up to 60 hours of back-up care per academic year through Bright Horizons.
