Using the Science of Learning to Succeed on Your Finals and the Bar Exam - Today, Apr. 24, 12:00 p.m. Virtual. Use science to optimize your learning and improve your performance on your finals and the bar exam. Florida International University Law School Prof. Louis Schulze, Jr. will explain how the science of learning can help you succeed on your exams and the bar exam, and important things to do and not to do during bar prep. If you have not registered, please do so here.

Clifford Chance: Challenges in Regulating AI - Tues. Apr. 25, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 103. What are the current legal approaches in addressing discrimination in the algorithmic setting and are they effective? Focusing on this question in the context of fair lending law, Prof. Talia Gillis considers several regulatory approaches as reflected in recent proposals. Graduation Tickets: The deadline for claiming Class Day tickets is Fri. Apr. 28 at 11:59 p.m. Guests are required to have tickets to attend the Class Day on May 15 and University Commencement on May 17. Tickets are required for students and guests to participate in the University Commencement on May 18. Get your Class Day tickets here!

Bar Prep Lunches: Beginning Tues. May 23, lunch will be provided in Big Warren, 2nd fl., on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. In order to be environmentally conscious and reduce waste, we will circulate a sign-up in May.

Your Exam Schedule: Individualized spring 2023 exam schedules are now available in LawNet under the Check Schedule module.

Please re-download Exam4 and take a practice test in all four modes. You are required to re-download Exam 4 each term.

Credit/Fail (CR/F) rule: 2Ls and 3Ls may elect to have a letter grade changed to Credit/Fail (CR/F) in one non-mandatory class per semester (for a maximum of 10 credits overall). Please submit the digital Grade Adjustment Form on LawNet by Weds. Apr. 26 at 11:59 p.m. Please refer to the email we sent out for further information on this rule.

July 2023 Bar Exam: If you plan on taking the July 2023 NYS Bar Exam, your application must be filed between April 1 - April 30. If you miss the deadline the next opportunity to sit for the bar is February 2024. Visit NYS Board of Law Examiners (NYS BOLE) for detailed information on the New York State bar examination application and requirements, including applying for disability-related accommodations.

Clerkship Applications: Planning on applying to clerkships this summer? Please fill out this form if you are a 3L (Class of 2023) interested in applying for the May/June clerkship application cycle. This form is for administrative purposes so that OJC can better forecast your class needs as we head into the May/June processing period.
