Law students contemplating a career in human rights often ask what a career in human rights actually looks like. Also, how do you launch a career in human rights? Join human rights practitioners from Accountability Counsel, EarthRights International, Human Rights Watch, and OutRight Action International for an online conversation about their careers and career paths. Moderated by Kerry McLean, Assistant Director for Human Rights and Public International Law at SJI. Cosponsor: Rightslink
Are you interested in working as a public defender after you graduate? Join us for a panel discussion on public defender hiring (which typically starts in the early fall of 3L year), featuring attorneys from various public defender offices, including the New Hampshire Public Defender, Legal Aid Society, Mecklenburg County Public Defenders, Alameda County Public Defender, and Colorado State Public Defender. Students are welcome to attend via Zoom or in person, where a grab-and-go lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email ev2494@columbia.edu at least three days prior to the event. Cosponsor: Public Defender Students of Columbia Law School
