Join SJI and the Office of Career Services for a panel of Columbia Law School graduates discussing how they navigated multiple career transitions, landed in their new positions, and made sector switches. We will discuss private law firms, clerkships, government, and work with litigation and advocacy nonprofits. With:

SJI and Financial Aid will present you with background, policies, charts, and a presentation on the Columbia Law School LRAP program. This is meant to supplement the personal stories of graduates from the recorded "Public Sector Financial Conversations with Graduates" program.

1Ls: You Must Complete Your Summer Funding Mandatories by November 30

To remain registered for Columbia Summer Funding (CSF), all CSF Fall requirements listed below must be completed by November 30th. If you attended the live sessions, you do not need to rewatch/take the quiz.

The Public Service Bridge Loan provides public interest 3Ls an LRAP-eligible loan ($10,000 max.) for bar course registration and other postgraduate living expenses. The application is due 5/13.

NYC Metro Area Public Interest Employer Web Series

These panels feature practitioners from city and federal government, civil and criminal prosecution, civil, housing, and children's rights, environmental, family, and immigration law, international human rights, and public defense/criminal defense.

Connect with the Public Interest/Public Service Council

The council is a large group of senior alumni who are experts and leaders (past and present) in the public interest and government sectors, both in the U.S. and abroad. Students interested in connecting with a council member should email SJI Dean Erica Smock.
