Oct. 27 at 5:00 p.m. - Applications for the Davis Polk Leadership Initiative Innovation Grants: Innovation Grant recipients receive up to $1,000 in project funding to design and implement a project during the Spring semester. Student Services
CLS Artist-In-Residence Short Film Series - Tues. Oct. 25, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 105. We will look at two short films from Self Evident Media Education, which often examine unknown stories related to the history of the creation and codification of a legalized caste system in the U.S. based on race. One film examines bias in the press and how that impacts our perception of history and the second film tells the story of a Black woman in Massachusetts who took legal action that directly led to the end of legal institution of slavery in Massachusetts. Pumpkin Carving Party - Thurs. Oct. 27 in WJW 600 (Morning Session: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m./Afternoon Session: 1:00-2:30 p.m.) You can carve a pumpkin with us or take one home to carve. Please use the SignUp link to RSVP. RSVP is required for both in-person carving and to take home. Pumpkins can be picked up 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Mandatory Training Alert for Transfers: The Community Citizenship Initiative is now in full swing! Fri. Nov. 4 is the deadline for completion. Participation is required for all students who are new to the University or starting a new degree/program. Within your Lionmail inbox the information came from Dennis Mitchell (from the Office of University Life). If you require accommodations or have any questions, please contact University Life. A hold will be placed on your student account if this requirement is not completed by the deadline.

New Rule about Credit/Fail Option for 2Ls and 3Ls: You now have the option to elect to have a letter grade changed to a grade awarded on a Credit/Fail (CR/F) basis in one non-mandatory class per semester (for a maximum of 10 credits overall). Students may choose to exercise this option in LawNet until 11:59 p.m. on the final day of scheduled upper-year Law classes, Fri. Dec. 9.
Deadline: If you are planning to split the credits for your supervised research into two semesters, Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, please fill out the Year Course (YC) Grade form on our Registration Forms website due Thurs. Dec. 22.
