Student Services

University Life Events Council Application 2023-2024: University Life is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 Events Council. The University Life Events Council provides programs and activities for all Columbia students that promote community, well-being and inclusion & belonging. Take a moment to review available positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applications will be accepted until midnight on Sun. Apr. 9. Selected students will be required to go through onboarding, and will be required to attend Fall and Spring Retreats at the beginning of each semester and weekly virtual planning meetings with their committees. Team Leads and Chairs will be required to attend a bi-weekly virtual meeting with their advisor and bi-weekly in-person events council full team meeting. Questions about the University Life Events Council? Esther Salas - Today, Apr. 3, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 107. Judge Nathan and Judge Salas will discuss the insights gleaned from each of their distinguished careers, including, respectively, Judge Nathan's prior service as Special Counsel to New York Solicitor General Barbara Underwood, and as a Special Assistant to President Barack Obama; and Judge Salas' prior service as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of New Jersey and a Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey. Call for Participation: AALS Section on Balance and Well-Being in Legal Education. The Balance Section seeks to investigate, discover, and inspire those practices that support the well-being of law students, lawyers, and judges. The Balance Section knows that some of the best ideas come from law students so they are hosting a virtual Speed Share Series. Each session will feature 4-5 student presentations and will conclude with a brief Q&A with the student presenters. Submit your short summaries /abstracts here. Abstracts are due Fri., Apr. 14. Presentations are to take place June-July 2023 (exact dates and times TBD based on presenter availability). If you have any questions, please contact General Programming Committee Co-Chairs Daniel Kocal or Natalie Netzel.

CU Food Pantry
Back-up Child Care - Full-time enrolled Law School students can receive up to 60 hours of back-up care per academic year through Bright Horizons.
