Every spring break, teams of Columbia Law School students work at legal organizations across the U.S. and abroad, gaining field experience while providing much-needed support to host organizations. Join us to learn about spring break caravans and the application process.

Public Interest Careers in LGBTQ Issues with OutLaws

Featuring direct services, impact litigation, and public defense employers, including New York Legal Assistance Group, LGBTQ Law Project, Lambda Legal, the Bronx Defenders, and LGBTQ Defense Project. Lunch will be provided. Cosponsors: PI/PS Office, OFGP, CLS Secularism Society.

Public Interest Community Coffee

The Columbia Public Interest Community Coffee is a weekly informal coffee hour on the WJW 600 Terrace on Thursdays at 3 p.m. and the LAST Thursday of the month at 2 p.m.

Lisa Landau is the general counsel for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Jeffrey Senger is the former chief counsel for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Topics will include reproductive justice, vaccines, the opioid crisis, and mental health.

The Human Rights Internship Program (HRIP) supports 1Ls and 2Ls who want to work in human rights over the summer and are interested in the postgraduate practice of human rights law. Apply by Nov. 30!

Kramer Levin 1L Racial Justice Initiative Scholars Program

Participate in clinics and projects focused on combating racial injustice and inequality. Applications considered on a rolling basis through Jan. 8.
