Success Workshop's Breathe in, Breathe Out: An Interactive Workshop on Meditation and Mindfulness - Fri. Feb. 9, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Uris Hall, 1st Fl. Lounge. Columbia University welcomes Dr. Keoshia Worthy who will lead a skill-based workshop that provides psychoeducation on the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. Register here if interested.

Apply to Compete in Startup Columbia 2024! The annual Startup Columbia venture competition is on! If you’re a current student or recent alum, apply today to compete and win thousands of dollars to help grow your startup idea into reality. As you will see in the Rules & Regulations, teams who wish to compete must choose to enter one competition only. Application deadline is Fri. Feb. 9.

Post-Completion OPT Webinar: May 2024 Graduates: We highly recommend that you apply early. This will help you receive your EAD card before your employment start date and facilitate international travel after graduation. The application due date is Thurs. Feb. 15. Prior to submitting your application, make sure to read the Post-Completion OPT webpage, attend an OPT Webinar, take the self-paced OPT course in Canvas, and decide your preferred OPT start date with the OPT calculator.

Financial Resource Tutorial for International Students - Tues. Feb. 6, 2:00-3:30 p.m. in Kent 201. Review the free budgeting and finance resources available to you as a Columbia student and bring a laptop! Register here if you plan on attending.

Thurs. Feb. 15: deadline to withdraw via LawNet under Digital Forms from a Spring '24 Law School course with the notation of W; the grade of F will be recorded for withdrawals after this date.

If enrolled in Financial Statement Analysis and Interpretation (L6205) and wish to take this course for a letter grade please fill out this form by Thurs. Feb. 15 at 5:00 p.m.

The Future of Ukraine - Weds. Feb. 7, 12:00-2:30 p.m. International Affairs Building, 15th fl. This is the first major IGP convening in a new series on the future of Ukraine. Our expert panelists and speakers will discuss the ongoing battle around NATO assistance to Ukraine, the role of the West in rebuilding the country after the war, and what’s needed to ensure long-term peace, stability, and economic recovery for the Ukrainian people. Preventing and Addressing Conflict-Related Sexual Violence - Fri, Feb 9, 12:00-2:30 p.m. International Affairs Building, 15th fl. This event, co-hosted by the Institute of Global Politics (IGP) and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security (GIWPS), will convene leading scholars, legal experts, government officials, and activists to discuss the limited progress made in preventing and addressing CRSV and what’s needed to realize the potential of the efforts underway to end it.
