CLS Artist-In-Residence Short Film Series - Tues. Oct. 25, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 105. We will look at two short films from Self Evident Media Education, which often examine unknown stories related to the history of the creation and codification of a legalized caste system in the U.S. based on race. One film examines bias in the press and how that impacts our perception of history and the second film tells the story of a Black woman in Massachusetts who took legal action that directly led to the end of legal institution of slavery in Massachusetts. Pumpkin Carving Party - Thurs. Oct. 27 in WJW 600 (Morning Session: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m./Afternoon Session: 1:00-2:30 p.m.) You can carve a pumpkin with us or take one home to carve. Please use the SignUp link to RSVP. RSVP is required for both in-person carving and to take home. Pumpkins can be picked up 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Resume Review: If you have not yet done so, please send your draft CLS-formatted private sector resume to your OCS counselor for their review. Any resumes already submitted to the Private Sector Resume Review Google Portal will be reviewed. Please note that you will need a CLS-style U.S. resume to apply for job postings, conduct networking efforts, and to participate in the Overseas Trained LLM Interview Program. Final resumes for the Interview Program must be uploaded to the LLM Consortium Symplicity by Weds. Oct. 26. Please review the OCS "Presenting Yourself in Writing Guide", Resume Templates, and "Presenting Yourself in Writing Workshop" video, all available on CLS Symplicity, when preparing your draft resume.

Symplicity's Job/Scholarship/Fellowship Postings - CLS students and alumni can search for summer and post-graduate employment, as well as, semester internships/externships. External organizations also share writing competitions, scholarships, and educational opportunities through this site.
Financial & Child Care Financial Wellness Resources - Students experiencing unexpected financial need, including food and housing insecurity, may be eligible for additional assistance. To apply for emergency assistance, complete the funding request form.
Lawyers Assistance Program - A free, confidential service available to law students and their family members in NYC who are struggling with alcohol or drug abuse, depression, anxiety and stress, as well as other addictions and mental health issues.
