Intro to Summer Funding (Oct. 10) and 1L Professional Pathways Checklist


Intro to Summer Funding: 1L Mandatory - Tues. Oct. 10, 12:10-1:00 p.m. (Webinar) Learn about the Columbia Summer Funding (CSF) and Human Rights Internship (HRIP) programs and how to remain eligible to receive funding for your 1L summer. Completion of this program is mandatory for all 1Ls unless you have (1) secured a non-CSF-eligible position AND (2) completed the CSF Opt-Out Form.

1L Professional Pathways checklist is full of resources and important steps you will need to take to prepare for your summer job! And advisors from your career teams are avaialble to meet with you - make appointments in Symplicity

Mandatory Training Alert: The Columbia Community Citizenship Initiative launched on Sept. 25. You received an email from Joseph Defraine Greenwell with details. You are required to complete two additional trainings (one in Sexual Respect and one in Inclusion & Belonging) before Fri. Nov. 3. Click here to view training options and to register. These are separate from the Pre-Orientation tutorials, which you should have already completed. Questions?

Community Book Read: Civil Rights Queen - Oct. 11 @ 4:20 p.m. in JG 103 Join Tomiko Brown-Nagin, an award-winning legal historian and dean of Harvard Radcliffe Institute, for a conversation about Civil Rights Queen, her biography of Constance Baker Motley ’46, activist lawyer and the first Black woman appointed to the federal judiciary.
