Orientation Program Survey: Somehow Orientation was a little over two months ago. Before too much more time goes by we are reaching out to ask you to fill out this survey about the Orientation program (that took place Mon. Aug. 22 - Weds, Aug. 24). The survey should take 4 minutes to complete. The entire Student Services team reads each and every response to help us improve the program for next year's class. The deadline to complete the survey is next Mon. Nov. 14 at 5:00 p.m.
LCI: Relationship Between Congress and the Administrative State - Weds. Nov. 9, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 106. Profs. Thomas Merrill and Gillian Metzger, will discuss one of the most important public law issues of the moment: the future of Chevron deference and what it means for administrative law. In his recently published book, The Chevron Doctrine: Its Rise and Fall, and the Future of the Administrative State, Prof. Merrill reviews the history and immense consequences of the Chevron doctrine and suggests a way forward. No Straight Path: Strategies for Overcoming Setbacks and Finding Satisfaction and Success in the Law – Failed Bar Attempt(s), Job Rejection(s), and Bad Grade(s) Be Damned! In this program hosted by Fordham Law School, Jordana Alter Cofino and Ashley Menzies Babatunde will discuss overcoming setbacks and offer guidance for law students and recent graduates navigating their legal careers. Ashley will share her personal struggle with the bar exam and unpack some of the lessons learned along the way, including practical tips for overcoming career setbacks. They will also discuss reining in perfectionism and redefining self-worth and how to cultivate a growth mindset to achieve well-being and success as an attorney. Register here.

Financial & Child Care Financial Wellness Resources - Students experiencing unexpected financial need, including food and housing insecurity, may be eligible for additional assistance. To apply for emergency assistance, complete the funding request form.
Lawyers Assistance Program - A free, confidential service available to law students and their family members in NYC who are struggling with alcohol or drug abuse, depression, anxiety and stress, as well as other addictions and mental health issues.
