Student Services
Smoking Policy: The University prohibits smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes (“e-cigarettes”) and all vaping devices in any indoor area, in all University vehicles, and in outdoor seating or viewing areas of sports arenas and recreational areas, such as those at Baker Field. Smoking is also prohibited outdoors within 20 feet of all University buildings (including undergraduate housing).

Disability Affinity Graduation Celebration Interest Form: CU's first Disability Affinity Graduation will take place on Sat. April 22 in the Journalism Lecture Hall (time TBD). The event will be a celebration of Columbia's amazing graduates with disabilities. Special disability-affirming stoles will be given out, and outstanding disability activists will be recognized with awards. A photographer will be taking pictures as graduates receive their stoles, but you do not have to be in attendance to receive a stole. To ensure that you get a stole, please fill out this formASAP. Every effort is being made to make this event hybrid. Please indicate if there is a possibility you may be attending over Zoom. Graduation Fair - Tues. Mar. 7 through Thurs. Mar. 9, 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at the CU Bookstore. Cap and gown fittings will be available and you can order these if you completed your Marching Order form by the Mar. 5th deadline. You may also order rings, announcements, and diploma frames from the graduation vendors. The regalia (gown) is free for students who completed the Marching Order form by the deadline. Students are however responsible for paying $80 for the tam (cap), which is yours to keep!
Graduation Tams: We have a limited number of tams if you are experiencing financial hardship. Please email Marissa to schedule a time to pick one up; no questions asked.

Mar. 20 for this national diversity event led by the Judicial Conference Committees on the Administration of the Bankruptcy System and the Magistrate Judges System, with the goal of attracting a broad and diverse pool of qualified applicants to the federal bankruptcy and magistrate benches. We encourage anyone who might be interested in learning more about possible paths to becoming a U.S. Bankruptcy or U.S. Magistrate Judge to attend the event. Financial & Child Care Financial Wellness Resources - Students experiencing unexpected financial need, including food and housing insecurity, may be eligible for additional assistance. To apply for emergency assistance, complete the funding request form.
