A panel of recent graduates will share their experience as law students and young lawyers, and advice on a range of topics, such as how they utilized law school resources, explored professional interests, practiced self-care, and approached law school with a big picture in mind. Register here.
Jin Hee Lee is the senior deputy director of litigation and director of strategic initiatives for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) in New York City. The LDF focuses on racial justice impact litigation. Jin supervises criminal justice, education, and economic justice litigation and advocacy.
“One of my proudest moments was when my client, who had been sentenced to juvenile life without parole, was finally released from prison. The criminal justice system had given up on him as a teenager, but now he has a second chance at life… That’s what my job allows me to do.”
Her advice for law students? “Find your community. It helps you get through law school. But it can also be your core community throughout your legal profession, the people you go to for advice, to commiserate with, to think through career decisions.” Read more about Jin Hee Lee.
