Extended Deadline - March 25! Complete the Columbia LENS Survey 

Complete the Columbia Lived Experiences Needs of Students (LENS) Survey to help inform the campus programs, services, resources, and policies that support the needs of Columbia students. As a thank you, you’ll receive $10 for your participation, and be entered to win bigger prizes, including $200 gift cards. Check your Columbia email for the unique link sent on Feb. 9 from Qualtrics/Isobar (no-reply@ips-research.com) and complete the survey before the new March 25 deadline. Ramadan Mubarek! To those who observe, Student Services wishes you a healthy and holy fast, with plenty of opportunities to gather and celebrate with loved ones. As a reminder, Muslim Life at Columbia is offering a number of iftar dinners in the Earl Hall Auditorium (117th St. and Broadway). Students are also welcome to join the nightly taraweeh prayers in the same location. There will be an Eid al-Fitr prayer and celebration on campus on the morning of Weds., April 10. In addition, our Muslim Law Students Association will be sharing information about its own events and opportunities for the community. Antisemitism Task Force Listening Session: Columbia Law School - Tues. Mar. 19, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in WJW 209. The Listening Session is a safe, respectful, and compassionate space for students to express their thoughts and engage in meaningful dialogue with faculty from the Columbia University Antisemitism Task Force. Academic Advising for Experiential Learning - Tues. Mar. 19, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m., WJW 4th Fl. Student Services will hold in-person drop-in advising in their offices (additional dates on Tue. Mar. 26 and Apr. 2).

The Clifford Chance Lecture Series: Updating Family Law for Today's Families - Weds. Mar. 20, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in JG 105. Families come in many shapes and sizes. But family law is stuck in the past. Rather than embrace and reflect the many ways adults live together and raise children, the law continues to apply a one-size-fits-all approach to the regulation of parents and children. Prof. Clare Huntington will identify the problem and discuss possible paths forward. Register here.

Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition - Thurs. Mar. 21, 5:00 p.m. in JG 104/107 (doors open at 4:30 p.m). Please join us for the final round of the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition. This year's case centers on whether a student-athlete should be considered an employee of the university where he plays collegiate sports, and whether federal prohibitions on medical marijuana preempt state law. Oral arguments will be delivered before a distinguished panel of jurists by four outstanding student finalists: Jamie Herring '24, Matt Winesett '24, Dakota Fenn '24 and Chrisopher Morillo '24.
