- Winter Package Delivery Program - DOROT’s Winter Package Delivery program brings hundreds of older adults and volunteers together to share warmth and companionship. Join us on Jan. 30 and 31 in Manhattan or Westchester for this incredible volunteer opportunity and bring joy to an isolated older adult in the community. Volunteers will:
  1. Pick up a Winter Care Package
  2. Deliver the package to an older adult
  3. Connect with the older adult for a 20-30 minute friendly phone call

- Applications for Spring 2022 Human Rights Research Assistant positions are being accepted until Jan. 25. To apply, please fill out this form and indicate the name of the project(s) you are applying for by Jan. 25.

The sixth annual Columbia Law School Human Rights Student Paper Symposium will be held on Friday, March 25 and is accepting submissions that critically engage with and advance knowledge and debate about any human rights issue, whether related to the law, policy, advocacy, theory, methods, and/or practice of human rights. Submit papers or works-in-progress via this form by Jan. 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. 

Prof. Jenik Radon's 1 Credit SIPA Simulation course is open for registration! Oil, Rights & Development will tentatively be held the weekend of April 8-9. Interested students should reach out to Prof. Radon.

Students who are participating the January 29 Overseas Trained LL.M. Interview Program will be able to access their interview schedule on Tuesday, January 18 at noon. The deadline to cancel an interview is Thursday, January 20 at 5:00pm EST.

OCS will be holding drop-in hours for LLM students with our counselors to answer questions in preparation for the January 29 Overseas Trained LL.M. Interview Program. The dates and times for the drop-in hours will be as follows (Zoom links to be sent separately):
  • Wednesday January 26, 12:10 - 1:10 pm
  • Thursday January 27, 1:15 - 2:00 pm
  • Friday January 28, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, and 1:10 pm - 4:00 pm
The New York County Lawyers Association's (NYCLA) Committee on Inclusion of International Lawyers in the US Legal Profession is hosting a webinar on January 20, 2022 at 6:00pm entitled "Legal Careers for International LLMs in the US." NYCLA membership, committee membership, and seminar attendance are FREE for currently enrolled LLM students, as long as they register in advance. The on-demand, point-to-point Public Safety Evening Shuttle by Via has replaced the escort service at the Morningside campus. Additionally, the Intercampus Shuttle runs Monday to Saturday, excluding University holidays.

Back-up Child Care

Full-time enrolled Law School students can receive up to 60 hours of back-up care per academic year through Bright Horizons.

Child Care & Schooling Services

Care for adults, children, or yourself in situations when normal care arrangements are interrupted or when short-term care is required.

Lawyers Assistance Program

A free, confidential service available to law students and their family members in NYC who are struggling with alcohol or drug abuse, depression, anxiety and stress, as well as other addictions and mental health issues. LAP’s confidential hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 212.302.5787.
