Summer Employment Information
Participating in CSF? Review your CSF Checkliststo ensure you’re on track to receive funding for the summer. Complete any outstanding requirements even if you have not yet secured a summer placement.
Don’t forget to report your summer employment! Students receiving summer Funding (CSF or HRIP) must report their summer placement to LawNet. Students working in the private sector must report their employment on the CSF Opt-Out Form. All students must report their employment within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
Apply for Extended Summer Funding: 1L students registered for CSF with a strong commitment to pursuing a public interest, human rights, or government career immediately upon graduation (or following a judicial clerkship) are invited to apply for an additional two-week extension of summer funding in their 1L year (for a total of 10 weeks). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the May 12 deadline. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible.

1L Tips for Formulating Note Topics - Academic Advising - Tues. Apr. 11, 12:10-1:10 in JG 103. Learn about the note-writing process and timeline from upper-year journal members. Members of the faculty will also be available to discuss the process and answer your questions. Food will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Planning for Your Next Year: If you are planning on applying for an externship or clinic, or want to talk to someone about planning for your next academic year, please sign up for an appointment to chat with an advisor in Student Services here. If none of these times work for you, please email Student Services, or stop by the 4th floor of Big Warren! As a reminder, the application to apply for Fall 2023 clinics, externships, and policy labs is now open in LawNet and will close on Mon. Fireside Chat with Former Supreme Court Justice Breyer - Thurs. Apr. 13, 4:30-5:45 p.m. in Case Lounge. Retired Justice Stephen G. Breyer will reflect on his tenure on the Supreme Court, the role and relationship of Justices and their clerks, and more.
