Registration for the Public Interest Legal Career (PILC) Fair opens on December 1! PILC hosts 250+ public interest employers and will be held virtually Feb. 2-3. During this information session, we will provide an overview of the fair and explain how to register, how and when to apply, and what to expect from the fair. We strongly encourage anyone planning to participate in the PILC Fair to attend!
Learn about the Norton Rose Fulbright-sponsored fellowship at The Door Legal Services Center, open to graduating J.D.s. Maureen Schad, senior counsel and manager of Norton Rose Fulbright Pro Bono Initiatives, along with Gina Starfield and Magdalena Oropeza, both current Door Fellows, will discuss the fellowship and their experience at the Door. 3L Pro Bono Deadline
3Ls who plan to graduate in May and have not completed their CLS Pro Bono Requirement must share their plans by this date. Failure to do so will result in a hold by Registration Services.
LL.M. students interested in human rights and public international law are invited to the LL.M. Holiday Dinner with SJI host Kerry McLean, Assistant Director of Human Rights and Public International Law. Come to mingle with fellow LL.M. students and unwind as the fall semester comes to a close. Dinner and wine will be provided. Seats are limited, so you must RSVP!
As noted in our Job Search Toolkit, we recommend starting with a list of 15-20 employers to apply to over the next couple of months, directly and through job fairs.
Between Dec. 1 and Jan. 12, you can register for PILC and apply to interview with employers. Watch for details in coming weeks. And don't miss the PILC Fair Info Session on Nov. 30!
Do not relying solely on PILC to find a summer job. Make an appointment with an SJI adviser—the sooner, the better—to construct a plan.

With faculty and student groups, we have developed a list of resources to help you think about these issues. The list is not exhaustive; we welcome your suggestions.
